Santiago de Compostela

Moreover, Santiago is the site of the University of Santiago de Compostela, established in the early 16th century. Concerning the general structure of the city we can say that within the old town there are many narrow streets full of historic buildings; on the contrary, the new town all around it has less historic character, infact the new town have some big apartments. For this reason Santiago de Compostela has a very considerable nightlife, that is divided between the new town and the old town: a miscellaneous of middle-aged and younger students.

All the city is very particular, as it has got a great number of paved granite streets. Santiago de Compostela is very suggestive and attractive: walking through its streets is recommended because people have to discover every peculiarity of this city.

Furthermore, in Santiago de Compostela there are many interesting squares and streets where a tourist can admire religious places and monuments. One of these is the baroque “Abbey of San Martín Pinario”.
